Special Issues
Special Issue on Selected Papers from the International Conference on Synthesis, Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Methods, and Applications to Circuit Design 2024
Submission Date: 2024-12-01

This special issue of AEÜ-International Journal of Electronics and Communications aims at publishing extended versions of top-ranked papers in the SMACD 2024 conference. Guest editors: Professor Francisco V. Fernandez PhD IMSE-CNM , University of Seville and CSIC, Spain (Variability, hardware security, design methodologies, analog, mixed-signal and radiofrequency integrated circuit design) Professor Günhan Dündar PhD Electrical & Electronics Engineering Dept., Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey (Analog Integrated Circuit Design, CAD tools and methodologies for analog design) Professor Fotis Plessas, PhD Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Thessaly, Volos, Greece (Analog & rf/mm-wave integrated circuits, Phase-Locked Loops, transceivers, mm-Wave radar sensors, automotive radar systems) Professor Alkis Hatzopoulos, PhD Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece (Modelling, design and testing of integrated circuits and systems (analog, mixed-signal, high-frequency, 3D), instrumentation electronics, space applications.) Special issue information: The 2024 edition of the International Conference on Synthesis, Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Methods, and Applications to Circuit Design (SMACD) was held from 2 to 5 July at Volos in Greece. SMACD is a forum devoted to modeling, simulation, and synthesis for analog, mixed-signal, radiofrequency (AMS/RF), and multi-domain (nanoelectronics, biological, MEMS, optoelectronics, etc.) integrated circuits and systems, as well as emerging technologies and applications. Open-source tools and methods for IC design and experiences with modeling, simulation, and synthesis techniques in diverse application areas are also welcomed. Objective technologies include CMOS, beyond CMOS, and More-than-Moore such as MEMS, power devices, sensors, passives, etc. This special issue includes extended peer-reviewed versions of top-ranked papers in the conference referring to state-of-the-art works in terms of integrated circuit design techniques or electronic design automation tools. This special issue of AEU International Journal of Electronics and Communications aims at publishing extended versions of top-ranked papers in the SMACD 2024 conference. The papers invited to contribute to this special issue will have to include at least 60% of additional research content by including more experimental/simulation results before submitting to journal. The Acknowledgement section must state that “A preliminary version of this work has been published in SMACD 2024 Conference Proceedings" and cite the conference paper therein. The submitted papers (that already underwent a review process in the previous conference submission) will be subjected to a new standard peer-review process by outstanding researchers in the field. Manuscript submission information: Guest Editor Invitation Only Manuscript Submission Deadline: 1 Dec 2024 Editorial Acceptance Deadline: 1 April 2024 Please select "VSI: SI on SMACS 2024" when submitting the manuscript. Keywords: CAD, Optimization, Modeling, Simulation, Synthesis, AMS
